I am a feminist and have been working on issues related to violence against women for a decade now. I had the privilege of working with leading feminists and activists who gave me a ringside view of the challenges they confront, to make India more equitable for women. Over the last eight years, I have been associated with leading grassroots organizations like Asmita Resource Centre For Women, Hyderabad, Anandi, Ahmedabad, PWESCR, New Delhi, and Partners for Law in Development, New Delhi.

I have worked as a trainer on issues related to gender, human rights, and law, and have trained government bodies, non-government organizations, companies, lawyers, and students. I have also served as a member of several internal complaints committees on preventing sexual harassment at the workplace and have addressed cases that came up within workplaces. I have conducted several training programs with my team members and as a consultant for corporate houses on the new law on preventing sexual harassment at the workplace.

I have been associated with international women’s rights agencies like Women’s Learning Partnership and International Women’s Rights Action Watch Asia Pacific (IWRAW) and have attended and conducted training programs in various countries including Turkey, Nigeria, and the USA.
